Ten tips disabled parents must know

Hi

Because long-term illness whittles away ones identity and can alter the things that make who you are, we are asking for your help.

Here is how. We are creating a disabled parenting guide that will provide simple tips and steps for you and others to use. Our goal is to provide easy to use strategies for common challenges that will give you the tools and confidence to adjust to your new identity.

We have a good chunk of the guide done now, but we would like to make certain we have not left anything out. It would really help all involved if you would send the answer to the questions below to benefits@thedisabilitydigest.com.

I will keep your contribution anonymous, and you will get a copy of the guide when we are done. And, of course, there will be no charge.

1. What are the ages of your children?

2. What is the biggest challenge you had as a disabled parent?

3. What have you found that works?

4. Any other information that you feel would be helpful to parents.

I appreciate your contribution.

PS: Yes, there are lots of resources out there like this but none that
I know of that have been written by the disabled for the disabled.
